Information we use
If you contact us, we receive your email address, the name you provide and the contents of your message. We use this information to respond and manage the correspondence. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running the publishing business.
The company that hosts this website may process technical request information, including IP address, browser details, requested pages and timestamps, to deliver, maintain and protect the site. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.
Contacting us does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Website and external links
You can browse books and read chapter samples without creating an account. This website does not collect payment-card details. Purchases, newsletter signups and free-book downloads take place on linked external services.
We do not use website analytics, advertising pixels or newsletter popups. Fonts and images are served with the website. Reading-size and light/dark preferences are held only for the current page, without cookies or local storage.
When you follow a retailer, newsletter, download or social-media link, that service handles your visit under its own privacy notice.
How long we keep information
We normally keep enquiry correspondence for up to 12 months after the matter is resolved, unless it is needed longer for an ongoing matter or a legal obligation.
Newsletter information is kept while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we retain only the limited record needed to honour your choice and demonstrate compliance. We review mailing-list and engagement information periodically and remove it when it is no longer needed.
Technical hosting logs are kept according to the hosting service’s security and operational settings and are removed when no longer needed for those purposes.
International transfers
Some suppliers or their supporting services may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where data-protection law requires safeguards, we use an approved adequacy decision, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguard relevant to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, and receive certain information in a portable form. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
To exercise a right, email info@terminusworks.com. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
You can also raise a concern with your data-protection authority. In Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission.
